Helping on the farm

Owen loves to go out with Papa Frank in the morning and help on the farm.
Papa Frank was having to feed Heinz (the calf's ear tag was #57, hence the name) milk every day. Owen enjoyed watching him drink, but he made sure to stay away from his tongue.
Filling up Heinz's water trough for him.
Owen decided to climb into the tractor himself...
...and then get Papa Frank to climb in after him and give him a ride.

The Shiner

Owen fell off of the couch and hit the corner of the coffee table this weekend.
He immediately got a huge goose egg on the side of his head right by his eye.
The swelling has gone down, but the next day it looked like this.
He is quite the bruiser!

Ridin' The Rails

A couple of weeks ago Owen and I went with a bunch of friends to ride an old passenger train.
Owen absolutely loved it! He not only got to ride on a train and hang with friends, but he got to eat popcorn as well!!

Zack, Anthony, and Owen sitting at the station just waiting patiently to ride the rails.
Zack and Owen may need to work on their "say cheese" poses.

All aboard!

Happy as a clam with his popcorn, friend, and a train ride

First Baseball Game

Here is a picture of Owen at his first actual baseball game.
The Royals lost, but we had fun anyway.
Owen was ready to go at the bottom of the eighth though when he pointed at the field and said, "Mommy, I'm done with that."

Aksarben Aquarium

Back in April, we went to the Aksarben Aquarium just south of Omaha.
I, of course, forgot my camera, but Casey (Colin's mommy) was nice enough to share the pictures she took with us. I thought I would post them just because I heart the one where Owen and Colin are looking at each other with binoculars.

The Renaissance Fair

A couple of weekends ago Lane, Owen and I went to a Renaissance Fair.
It was ummm....interesting.
Here is a picture of Owen and Lane watching a Pirate Performance, Argh!!
Not only did we get to pet a camel, but a zebra and a ferret as well.
Owen found a little buddy to jump...
...and fall down with in the jumping castle.
Owen's favorite part was the jousting.
It was a good performance and we had rock star seats.
Sir Arthur (on the left) is the one we cheered for and the winner.

Ready for Puddle Jumping

What else is there to do on a rainy day then to go jump in a puddle or two!
